As with all of our top lawyers, we look for outstanding practitioners who excel in their practice areas, are highly regarded in the industry and are among the elite in the field. Nominees must be women who are considered the go-to advisor by clients and colleagues; leaders and trusted advisors; pioneers who paved a path or broke new ground.
Our research and editorial methodology ranks candidates in various categories including, but not limited to, advocacy, notable achievements, thought leadership, involvement in the broader community such as pro bono or external organizations, client list and legal success – using a proprietary scoring methodology. The lawyers ultimately chosen will be those with an impressive track record against the criteria. While a lawyer’s lifetime achievements are considered, emphasis is placed on the most recent achievements.
