The Octagon returned to San Antonio for tonight’s Noche UFC event, and three hunters came out to take the implementing bonuses home.
The Vechtkaart was colored by a featherweight fight with a high ring with Diego Lopes that took on Jean Silva. The competition resulted in an absolutely exciting game as long as it lasted. Diego Lopes was able to get the fight on the floor early in the opening round and continued with some heavy soil and pound. However, Jean Silva quickly fought back in round two, fluctuated Lopes with a right hand and then put it on his bike. While he came in for a kill shot, Lopes stopped Silva with a perfectly timed rotating elbow that Jean had crashed on the floor. From there, Lopes immediately ended the fight with soil and pound (see that here).
UFC NOCHE 3 was co-head due to a bantam weight fight for men with veteran Rob Font about the Up and Comer, David Martinez. The match turned out to be a back and forth, but Martinez was able to score a late knockdown in round three and left with the unanimous decision victory.
After tonight’s conclusion eventUFC officials at the press conference announced after the fight that three hunters would take the performance bonuses home.
