Great Britain have confirmed their team for the Women’s World Cup Division I Group B in Puigcerdà, Spain in April.
GB will take on Kazakhstan, Korea, Latvia, Netherlands and hosts Spain at the Polisportiu Arena from April 12 to 18.
Twenty-one of the players have World Cup experience and there is a first GB call-up for 19-year-old forward Margot Sire, while 17-year-old netminder Evelyn Brown is included in the senior team for the first time.
Evelyn Brown
Brown made thirteen appearances for GB Under-18s and was a standout player in the U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B in Katowice, Poland in January. The 17-year-old was named Netminder of the Tournament, including a 41-shot shutout against Spain. Brown currently plays in the US with the North American Hockey Academy.

Sire is in her fourth season with the top women’s team Guildford Lightning. The 19-year-old is also an assistant captain for the Fire Bees in WNIHL 1. Sire spent the 2024-2025 season in North America, playing for Newark Ironbound alongside GB teammate Ellin Rees.
