Football is back and the 2025/26 season promises to be a new campaign to remember.
While the promotion is preparing to start, here are nine things we are looking forward to during the 2025/26 season.
Nine things we are looking forward to this season:
Thomas Frank makes Tottenham difficult to beat
Look, we had a lot of time for Ange Postecoglou. The authentic Aussie gave us many memorable moments, and we are happy that he went into the sunset with the Europa League trophy. But let’s face it, Spurs were terrible in the Premier League last season. Ange was a stubborn sod and chose to fall on his sword in North Londs.
Daniel Levy has replaced the ideologist with Thomas Frank, in a cultural change. Frank has won many compliments in Brentford, with the DANE Hyper-oriented on micro details that might make a difference. Pre-season images that revealed long-term auditions was a look at what we can expect. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Spurs can be more effective this season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, De Galactico
The decision of Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave Liverpool has damned his legacy, but from the perspective of a neutral it will be fascinating to view him in Real Madrid. The right back took its considerable part of anti -aircraft weather for defensive in Liverpool and is now in the most hostile environment in club football.
But there is a reason why Real Madrid pursued his signature. Alexander-Arnold is as close to a Galactico right back as you can find, a capital into spectacular moments and who has real goals to challenge a balloon d’Or.
Looking at him ping laser -like steps over the Bernabeu to Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe should be a treat.
Florian Wirtz
From one outgoing Liverpool to an incoming. The Premier League champions made the wallet this summer to sign Florian Wirtz and break the British transfer record to land the German. Wirtz arrives recognized as one of the best talents in Europe, with the 22-year-old the Bundesliga’s best by his colleagues in each of the last two seasons.
The midfielder is a player who slides over the field with glue control and a power to switch on seemingly narrow holes. English football may have a new favorite.

The Tyne-Wear Derby
It has been almost a decade since Sunderland and Newcastle were the last to collide in the Premier League, but the first are back after nine years.
Sunderland has spent a great attempt to consolidate, while Newcastle has been converted into a Champions League team since the Black Cats were on this stage for the last time.
The northeast will pause for this.
Big Ol ‘Number Nines is back in fashion
Football purists will be happy with a trend that has brought back a large number of nines back.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton have all signed Center-Forwards this summer, the shortest of which is at 6ft 2. In Napoli, the Italian champions 6ft 7 in Lorenzo Lucca brought in to appear next to the Bulldozing Romelu Lukaku, in what could be a Throwback tactic.
With wolves, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest under the clubs that are already led by ‘big men’, the traditional number nine is again in favor.
Gian Piero Gasperni’s Roma Revolution
In recent seasons, Atalanta has been one of Europe’s most viewing. Gian Piero Gasperini has supervised after over -performance after over -performance with the Bergamo -based side, all reached with an attractive, flowing style.
After almost a decade, Gasperini has taken on a new challenge. The 67-year-old will hope to lead a Renaissance in Roma, while the Capital Club tries to return among the best of Series A.
“I need an important challenge,” Gasperini said in an interview released by Roma. “I really believe that all the conditions are present to do a good job.”
Victor Osimhen in Galatasaray, part two
Victor Osimhen’s time in Galatasaray was one of the most fascinating stories from last season. An opportunistic loan movement evolved into a real love affair, while the Istanbul outfit brought Osimhen into their hearts.
In one way or another, Galatasaray has reached an agreement to permanently reduce Osimhen, so that the Turkish Süper Lig -record was destroyed in the process. After 37 goals in 41 games last season, the Turkish champions received an elite option at a time when the top competitions of Europe often appear the best talent.

Galatasaray is assured of a place in the competition phase of the Champions League this season, and a trip to Rams Park will not be an easy task.
Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace in Europe
Forget all the bickering, CAS matters and the back and forth between Forest and Palace for a moment, and let’s celebrate two over-performing teams in Europe this season.
Of course, Palace will feel incredibly difficult by being relegated to the Conference League, where Forest has taken their place in the Europa League. For Forest it is a first European campaign since 1995 and a modern generation of fans will finally be able to view the double European champions against continental opponents.
Palace is still smart due to their punishment for alleged infringements of rules for multiple club property, but the Eagles can still look for European football for the first time. A silver lining for the South Londers can be that they start between the favorites for a tournament that Premier League teams have dominated.
Jack Grealisk van de Riem in the Hill Dickinson Stadium
Let’s face it, the move from Jack Grealish to Manchester City delivered trophies, but also saw the wings of one of the most viewable players of the Premier League cut.
Pep Guardiola’s relentless question can be risky, a combination of adventurous football Grealish has built up its reputation.

David Moyes has cut out to Everton this season and may just be able to release the winger in England. He set his sights on the World Cup team.
