The highest viewing session of the Games took place on Day 9, where the night session attracted a national total TV audience of 1.441 million.
The primary channels’ coverage delivered an average national total TV audience of 375,000 viewers.
Stan Sport scored the most weekly active users in Stan Sport history, but viewing figures were not provided.

9Network’s coverage of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics was a ratings powerhouse, reaching an impressive 15.0 million viewers. The Games captivated more than half of Australia’s population and dominated the screens of Channel 9, 9Gem, 9Now and Stan Sport.
The record-breaking viewership reflected a historic achievement on snow and ice, with Team Australia finishing the Games with an unprecedented six medals (three gold, two silver and one bronze), marking the highest medal level in the country’s winter Olympic history.
Australians embraced 9Now’s coverage, with the platform achieving an increasing reach of 18.0% to broadcast TV during the Games, with 2.3 million viewers tuning in exclusively to the Olympics via 9Now. Most notably, the digital shift was led by younger viewers, with 46.0% of people aged 16 to 39 watching exclusively on 9Now.
In addition, coverage of the Games on Total TV reached 4.0 million viewers among people aged 16 to 39, 6.3 million among people aged 25 to 54 and 10.7 million among people aged 18 and over.
The highest viewing session of the Games took place on Day 9, where the night session attracted a national total TV reach of 2.124 million and a national total TV audience of 1.441 million. The country tuned in to witness Australian hero Matt Graham take a bronze medal in a men’s double moguls final against Takuya Shimakawa.
This session also set a digital benchmark with an average BVOD audience of 252,000. This record was only narrowly eclipsed by the Day 2 Night Session, which reached 255,000, culminating in the harrowing Women’s Downhill event, where viewers watched in shock as American icon Lindsey Vonn crashed at high speed.
