Toews isn’t giving up on the season. He is eligible for an extension for next season, but isn’t thinking that far ahead yet.

“I don’t think about that at all. I am obviously grateful for the opportunity that the Jets organization and coaching staff have given me to play in the NHL again. It has been an adjustment period this year, but I want to continue playing for this team.”
