And if they do, I would wonder about a team like the San Jose Sharks. They are still fighting for a play-off spot. Probably an experienced goalkeeper wants to play with (Yaroslav) Askarov. And probably a bonus, if that goaltender is also a Russian goaltender. Maybe a contract extension. They have a lot of cap space to play with here.
That is, and I’m just freestyling this one here. That’s a move that would make sense to me for both teams if Florida doesn’t bring Bobrovsky back. He is an unrestricted free agent starting July 1. If we are going to play as a goalkeeper on the move, San Jose would be a sensible choice for Bobrovsky for me.”
