The Pittsburgh Penguins must lower their ‘towering’ asking prices to place them in a better future position
Dan Kingerski from Pittsburgh Hockey Now: The current line-up of Pittsburgh Penguins is probably closer to a play-off place instead of being in the race for a potential top-two choice. The penguins have some players to move, but will GM Kyle Dubas lower his asking price to get a better choice of pulling?
If/when there is a change of ownership for the penguins, several sources do not expect to expect any direction change in their rebuilding plans.
The asking prices for Forward Rickard Rakell and Bryan rest his “heavenly high,” said Dubas. It is not known what the asking price for defender Erik Karlsson is. Holding to Karlsson seems strange, because his schedule spot a young defender or a defender who could turn into a future trading. Karlsson has trade protection and wants to play on a competition. Exciting him is logical because they don’t want to get better. The same for Rakell and Rest.

Will maintaining a high asking price ultimately have an adverse effect? There can be a huge difference in having a top-five concept choice, compared to the number 10-pick.
There is a larger group that would move the penguins, and they still look at the goalkeeper market
The fourth period: The Pittsburgh Penguins have a group of players they are open to move, possibly talking this month and at the start of the season. That group includes, and is not limited to, forward Bryan Rust, Rickard Rakell and Noel Acciari, defenders Erik Karlsson and Ryan Graves, and goalkeeper Tristan Jarry.
Rakell and Rust have left for three years at his deal, and only Rakell has trade protection-a list of eight teams no-trade. Jarry has left a list of 12 teams for three years. Sources say that even after acquiring Arturs Silovs, the penguins continue to look at the goalkeeper market.
NHL rumors: Pittsburgh Penguins and the Boston Bruins
Josh Yohe of the Athletic wrote that teams are interested in Karlsson, but not with the $ 10 million cap -hit. Karlsson has left for two more years and it is not known whether the Penguins are willing to retain up to 50 percent.
