The Montreal Canadiens and Vancouver Canucks are among the teams that have inquired about a forward Take Thompson. A source said GM Kevyn Adams has consistently said he is “unavailable at this time.”

The Sabers will not make any panic trades and are not interested in moving Thompson at this time. He has a five-team no-trade list. If the Sabers were to make him available later in the season or next season, he would generate a lot of interest.
