In the meantime, pay close attention to Skinner. How does he react to this new coach? How does he react to a little different body makeup? What does mobility look like? Does it look like he’s ready to make a move?

And if in December or January it doesn’t look like Skinner is ready to make a move, and it’s not very clear that he’s made improvements. Things aren’t going well in the American League, and (Ingram’s) not quite ready for it yet. (Bowman’s) not going to have a choice. For me, that is the situation as it is now, and I don’t see it changing.”
