A few guys who are pending unrestricted free agents, moving some vets to bring in younger players, 25 and under, was the very specific age chart I was told to look for.”
And they’re trying to be more competitive, not just to appease Quinn Hughes, but to become more competitive sooner. To show him that they can be a team where he has a chance to win.

And I’ve reported this elsewhere, including in Vancouver, that, you know, I believe Quinn Hughes is committed to the Canucks and hasn’t really spent a lot of time thinking about this overarching scenario that a lot of people want to have that conversation about in their association with his brothers in New Jersey.
I’m just looking, I think that’s just down the road. Could that conversation change if Quinn Hughes raises his hand between now and the deadline and says he’d like to move? Yes. I also just don’t know if that’s really in his nature or his DNA, so we’ll see.
