Dennis Bernstein reported that the Kings have reached out to the Montreal Canadiens forward Patrick Lainebut there may be no fit.
“As the Kings explore the market for a top-six forward, I can confirm they have spoken with Montreal about Patrik Laine,” Bernstein said. reported via X. “However, there does not seem to be a click at the moment and Kings are now looking elsewhere.”
The Kings have approximately $12.6 million in cap space to work with, and it is unknown who they are targeting.
