Teams are calling the Chicago Blackhawks about Jason Dickinson and Connor Murphy
@Blackhawksfocus: Frank Seravalli mentioned on the Chicago Blackhawks pregame show last weekend that they have received “a lot of calls” about forward Jason Dickinson and defenseman Connor Murphy. Seravalli said both players will “probably” be traded before the deadline to free up roster spot(s) for younger players.
TSN: Vancouver Canucks management has started using the word ‘rebuild’ and is open to just about anything, according to Darren Dreger, including forward Elias Pettersson.
“Now we know that from a media perspective there has been a lot of speculation about Pettersson’s future with the Vancouver Canucks. That was more in the offseason, more last season than so far. I can tell you that there has been no communication with the agent representing Elias Pettersson, Pat Brisson, and they would have to communicate directly with Pettersson’s camp because he has the no-move clause.”
NHL Rumors: New Jersey Devils and Vancouver Canucks
Two potential strikes for Dougie Hamilton, without anything happening
TSN: The feeling is that nothing is imminent for a Dougie Hamilton trade, but the New Jersey Devils continue to look into it, according to Pierre LeBrun.
“Carolina and Toronto are among the potential candidates. Let me emphasize the potential. Of course he was with the Hurricanes and played well there. But it would really depend on whether Carolina would go that route and take back some New Jersey in return.”
And with the Leafs, I think there’s no question they won’t take him for $9 million a year, which the Devils should keep. So we’ll see where it goes. They hope to get this done before the Olympic break.”
The Devils need to move money. They are also trying to move Ondrej Palat and his $6 million.
