The owner of the Carolina Hurricanes wants to sell a small part of the team
TSN: Chris Johnston said Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon is looking to bring in a minority partner, and talks are well underway. He retains a controlling interest.
“What’s interesting about this, guys, is that he’s selling his stake in the team at a valuation of $2 billion, which is more than double what he paid for the team eight years ago, Dundon did. He will, I’m told, retain full controlling interest if this transaction goes through.”

He was so focused and determined to have a great start to the season, which he did, and to make a case for Team Canada, which he certainly did. That the contract was really not his priority. He just concentrates on playing and the rest will take care of itself.
Hard to argue with that, and the Hawks are more than capable of making that happen. They are in no hurry. They know he is dedicated and look at the commitment he has made to growing his game year after year.
