TSN: According to Darren Dreger, most of Nazem Kadri’s trade speculation is driven by the media. Teams like the Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks and perhaps the Toronto Maple Leafs wouldn’t mind adding a No. 2 center, but the timing isn’t good for the Calgary Flames.
“The reality is that Nazem Kadri loves Calgary, and unless the Flames decide their roster needs to be rebuilt, and that could happen for the remainder of the regular season leading up to the trade deadline, then it’s premature at least for now.”

TSN: Pavel Zacha is another name in the rumor mill, with Pierre LeBrun confirming the Vancouver Canucks made inquiries this offseason. The Boston Bruins see Zacha as part of their future.
“What I’m being told is that the Boston Bruins view Pavel Zacha as a good long-term prospect. He has one year left on his contract after this year, but don’t be surprised if they try to extend him this summer. At 28 years old, they view him as an age-appropriate fit for this roster transition, and they think he’s a great fit and would like to keep him around.”

The Detroit Red Wings can keep Erik Gustafsson if they only get low offers
Kevin Allen of Detroit Hockey Now: Elliotte Friedman reported that the Detroit Red Wings are looking to trade for defenseman Erik Gustafsson, who plays in the AHL.
A Gustafsson trade may not happen as we’ve heard teams are only interested in giving up a lower-round draft pick. The Red Wings may just wait to see what happens. There is a good chance that an injury will occur at some point. He has a $2 million cap hit and is in the final year of his deal.
Cap space isn’t an issue for the Red Wings, so trading him could only be to give him another shot at the NHL.
