A tough decision looms for the Buffalo Sabres
TSN: Darren Dreger said the Buffalo Sabers have some decisions to make regarding incoming UFA forward Alex Tuch.
“What do you get in return for Alex Tuch? It should be a meaningful piece or pieces that could help this team this year. That seems a bit far-fetched. And the flip side of all this is, who do you talk to when you’re willing to talk about it?”
Jarmo Kekalainen isn’t going to strengthen another team in the East by sending them Alex Tuch, and again, if he sends him West, it’s a return at best if it’s paramount to the direction of the Buffalo Sabres. But if you do that, you weaken your existing selection.”

I was talking about St. Louis. I think they got high prices for some things, but everyone knows they are willing to do things.
But the other thing I mentioned to Kyle on Saturday night is that I think a guy like Rasmus Andersson was a little bit different because the Golden Knights really wanted him. And they were, they didn’t want anyone else to get him, but they almost lost him to Boston.
You know, Boston had $63 million on the table, and I think I mentioned this on the last pod, but there were Calgary players who were under the impression he would take it. And the Golden Knights came out and said, ‘Enough of this nonsense. We’re trading for this guy,’ and they made it happen.
But I don’t necessarily think Calgary is in a rush to do anything else right now, and I don’t think they have anything that says we need to do something now. As we record this, we’ll see what happens.
