Crosby for the avalanche or Canadiens?
Colorado Hockey Now: AARIF DEEN wonders if this is the start of the end of the long term of office of Sidney Crosby with the Pittsburgh Penguins After his agent has not rejected the idea of a profession.

Note from the Spector: Exciting Crosby for the avalanche is a long recording. They miss the cap space to take on its $ 8.7 million cap -hit for this season, even if the Penguins retain half. The AVs do not have a pick in the first round in 2026, which will probably be part of the asking price of each team that is interested in acquiring Crosby. Parsons believe moving Nick Suzuki” Cole Caufieldor Juraj Slafkovsky Would also be non-starters for the Canadiens.
Giving up one of those young players for a 38-year-old Crosby would go against everything that the Canadiens have done over the past three years. It could delay or derail their efforts to build in a multi -year Stanley Cup competition.
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Joe Starkey wonders if Crosby could alleviate his attitude because he is a penguin for life as a power play to bring Mario Lemieux back as a teamowner.
If the Crosby Trade interview warms up, Starkey suggests that the club might be less attractive for a different owner than the Lemieux group.
Note from the Spector: It is an interesting theory, but if Crosby decides to continue, it is probably another chance to play for a Stanley Cup -Competent than to help Lemieux regain control of the penguins.
No Mctavish for the Canucks
The province: Patrick Johnston believes Anaheim Duck center Mason McTavish would fit well as a second line center for the Vancouver Canucks. However, the ducks are not interested in continuing with the 22-year-old limited free agent.
If McTavish became available, Johnston would point out that the Canucks missed the prospect of the Blauw-Chip to pry him from the ducks. In the meantime, there is a growing consensus among the experts that the ducks will have the young center signed again.
Note of the Spector: other clubs with more depth in concept choices and prospects are linked to MCTavish in the rumor mill. But as much as those teams a second -line center as he needs, the ducks do too.
