COOLEY CAPTURES FIRST FOUR-GOAL GAME MAMMOTH HISTORY
Logan Cooley (4-1-5) etched his name into the Mammoth record books with his first career five-point game. After scoring in the first period, Cooley scored three times in a row in the third frame, recording the franchise’s first four-goal performance and becoming the League’s first player this season to score four times in a match.


* In addition to scoring the franchise’s first four-goal game, Cooley also became the first Mammoth player to score multiple hat-tricks and the second to record and participate in a five-point game Clayton Keller (1-4-5 on February 27, 2025).
* Monday marked Cooley’s second hat trick of the season, both of which came naturally. He became the fourth player in NHL history to record multiple natural hat tricks in a single campaign at age 21 or younger, after Wayne Gretzky (4x in 1980-81), Patrick Laine (2x in 2018-19) and Filip Forsberg (2x in 2015-16).

PANTHERS SCORE EIGHT, CAPITAL LETTERS SCORE FIVE WITH QUICK OBJECTIVES, A COMMON THEME
The reigning Stanley Cup champion Panthers (12-9-1, 25 points) and Capitals (12-9-2, 26 points) both skated to victory on Monday thanks to quick goals:
*Florida broke out with eight goals and it all started then AJ Greer (2-1-3) found the back of the net 11 seconds after puck drop to mark the fastest goal to start a match this season. The Panthers (2) tied the Avalanche and Sabers for most games with more than eight goals in 2025-26, posting multiple such games in a campaign for the fourth time in franchise history, following 2021-22 (3x), 2023-24 (2x) and 2006-07 (2x).
* The Panthers received contributions throughout the lineup; six players scored multiple points – the most in a single match since April 4, 2024 (6). That was one of those skaters Sam Reinhart (1-2-3), who extended his points streak to at least seven games for the fifth time with the Panthers. The only Florida players with as many runs of that length are Alexander Barkov (11x), Jonathan Huberdeau (7x), Matthew Tkachuk (5x), Olli Jokinen (5x) And Pavel Bure (5x).
* Jacob Chychrun (2-0-2) and John Carlson (1-1-2) both found the back of the net on Monday, including scoring 12 seconds apart in the second period to establish a franchise mark for the fastest two goals in a match by defendersas the Capitals defeated the Blue Jackets at Capital One Arena.
* Four of Washington’s five goals on Monday were scored by defensemen — the blueline has only potted more in a game twice (6 on Dec. 4, 1992 and 5 on Jan. 20, 2019). Overall, the Capitals have scored 19 goals this season by defenders, which leads all teams.

* Nikita Kucherov (0-3-3) taking all three into account Lightning goals while Andrei Vasilevskiy made 20 saves for his 41st career shutout as Tampa Bay picked up its fourth straight win and moved into first place in the Atlantic Division. Vasilevskiy tied up Semyon Varlamov for the 11th most shutouts in NHL history among goaltenders born and trained outside North America.

* Timo Meier (1-1-2) and Nico Hischier (1-1-2) both put in a multi-point performance to win the Devils beat the Red Wings (13-9-1, 27 points) to move into second place in the Metropolitan Division standings. New Jersey extended its season-opening home points streak to nine games (8-0-1) – tied for the second longest in franchise history (also 8-0-1 in 1987-88) behind a 10-game stretch to start 2016-17 (8-0-2).

OILERS AND STARS READY TO RENEW THE RIVALRY
The Stars (13-5-4, 30 points) and Oil squirters (10-9-5, 25 points) will take center stage Tuesday after meeting in the Western Conference Final in each of the past two postseasons, but their second showdown in 2025-2026 features Jason Robertson‘s recent success in scoring goals and Evan Bouchard‘s productive November.

* The Oil squirterswhose 23 all-time playoff wins against the Stars are of the franchise second most against a single opponent (tie)owns consecutive series wins against the club after Dallas edged Edmonton five straight from 1998 to 2003. Robertson and the Stars have maintained the upper hand in recent regular season games against Bouchard and the Oil squirters since 2023-24 (DAL: 5-1-1; EDM: 2-4-1).
* Bouchard has 2-11—13 (12 GP) in November and can record 15 points in a calendar month for the second time in his career (also 1-18—19 in March 2024). Paul Coffee is the only one Oil squirters defenseman with multiple 15-point months in his career (24x; last: October 1987). Bouchard, who has already provided three assists twice this month, including his most recent match, can also join Coffey as runner-up (2 GP from March 12-14, 1986). * Robertson starts a six-game streak on Tuesday and could tie the second-longest run Stars/North Stars history. He can also have exclusive possession of the longest goal streak Stars team history; Brian Bellows holds the franchise record (10 GP in 1989-90).
* Robertson could become the 13th different American player in NHL history to post a seven-game goal streak, finishing third in as many seasons (Jake Guentzel: 7 GP in 2024-25 & Auston Matthews: 8 GP in 2023-24). Only three have surpassed seven games: Pat LaFontaine (11 GP in 1989-90), Brett Hull (10 GP in 1991-92 and 1990-91) and Matthews.
