He said it was broken in “many, many places” and added: “I just got to the penalty area, we’re saying good fight to each other. I looked at my thumb and thought, ‘Oh my God, this thing isn’t right.’
Bruce Garrioch: Ottawa Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot is back to skating, according to coach Travis Green. Forward Shane Pinto has not yet started skating and likely won’t return before the Christmas holidays. Striker Lars Eller will be out “for an extended period”.
Sheng Peng: San Jose Sharks forwards Will Smith and Philipp Kurashev were placed on IR. No timelines have been given for either.
