The injury did not prevent Cross from practicing, but he took the opportunity to solve the problem with the opener of the regular season away for five weeks. The expectation is that Cross is ready to go when Seattle organizes the San Francisco 49ers on 7 September.

Meyers is the clear number 2 option in the passing game behind Star Tight End Brock Bowers. In recent years, the former unsigned free agent has been one of the more undervalued broad recipients in the NFL, with at least 67 receptions and 804 yards in each of the last four seasons.
Meyers comes from the most productive season of his career and ends 16th under Wideouts in receptions (87) and 20th in receiving yards (1,027). He did not drop any pass in 2024 and his 87 receptions without a drop were the most for every player in the NFL.
