Brown’s name Joe Flacco as QB Start for week 1

The Cleveland Browns announced that veteran Joe Flacco will be the start of the teamback of the team in week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Flacco was the tough favorite to earn the runway in a busy Quarterback room with Kenny Pickett and Rookies Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. Sanders was the more impressive rookie and earned a general figure of 82.1 Pff in his only match against Carolina, while Gabriel flashed but struggled to a 52.4 against Philadelphia.

The 40-year-old Flacco starts for the first time since 2022 in week 1, when he was a member of the New York Jets. He spent 2024 with the Indianapolis Colts and placed a general figure of 71.6 Pff in his eight performances.

Free-agent Randdediger Matthew Judon is planned to meet the dolphins on Monday, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Schultz added that the dolphins and judon are ‘motivated to reach a deal’. The four-fold Pro Bowler struggled in its first season with the Falcons after Biceps operation in 2023 and ended the year with a general figure of 43.0 pff to arrange 118th of 119 qualifying EDGE defenders.

On paper, the dolphins have depth on the edge position in Chop Robinson, Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb. 2024 Unstrafted Free Agent Grayson Murphy also has a strong preseason, in which an overall figure of 73.3 pff is recorded over 96 snaps, including an 85.4 PFF Pass-Rush degree.

Free agent CB Xavien Howard draws with the Colts

Free Agent Cornerback Xavien Howard signed on Monday at the Indianapolis Colts, according to his agent, David Canter.

Howard’s annual deal is worth a maximum of $ 5 million. His last action came with the dolphins in week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens in 2023. Howard spent the first eight years of his career at Miami, the team that will organize the Colts in their season opener on 7 September.

Howard was an all-pro cornerback in its Prime but struggled in his most recent seasons and achieved pff coverage of 56.0 in 2022 and 51.9 in 2023. The secondary of the Colts was hit with some injuries in the camp, especially the third round Rookie Justin Walley’s Torn ACL in the preserve.

Packers QB Jordan Love (Thumb) returns to practice Monday

Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love returned to practice on Monday.

Love is less than a week after undergoing surgery on the field to correct a ligament problem in his non-greedy hand. With today’s news there is no concern that he will miss the season opener of the packers against the Detroit Lions on 7 September.

Love wants to jump back from a 2024 season in which he is 20th of the 42 qualifying quarterbacks in Pff figure (75.8). His 83.6 Mark in 2023 placed him under the top 12 quarterbacks in the competition, and he collected the fifth 34 big throw that season.
