Nust (Newcastle United Supporters Trust) has sent an open letter to the club and asked for the clarity and transparency that should be the absolute minimum that fans get.

“This issue has been discussed by the Newcastle United Supporters Trust (Nust) On multiple occasions, failure does not contribute to growing frustration, distrust and division within the fan base.

As the letter notes, it is simply embarrassing for the owners of Newcastle United and senior staff to claim that the information is ‘commercially sensitive’, as a valid reason not to tell fans what the truth is.
Or that is how many Newcastle United are members and how many tickets in ballot papers and queue sell each home game.
Or what happens with tickets for away games, exactly how many tickets go to seasonal card holders, especially if there is a limited allocation.
The will of Arsenal, Liverpool and other clubs make this kind of information public for their fans, absolutely no reason why Newcastle United should not do the same.
