Looking at these Premier League matches on Saturday in this round.
Watch the other matches from Newcastle United’s perspective.
Eddie Howe and his players kick off in their Saturday match against Everton at 5.30 pm.
This weekend there are five Premier League games today (Saturday, November 29), then five on Sunday.
As a Newcastle United fan, take a look at the other Premier League matches today (Saturday) and think about what you would like to happen and what is likely in terms of results.
Saturday November 29
Brentford v Burnley (3 p.m.)
Man City v Leeds (3pm)
Sunderland v Bournemouth (3pm)
Everton vs Newcastle (5.30pm)
Spurs v Fulham (8 p.m.)
Sunday November 30
Palace vs Man U (12:00)
Villa v Wolves (2.05 pm)
Forest v Brighton (2.05pm)
West Ham vs Liverpool (2.05pm)
Chelsea vs Arsenal (4.30pm)
Here’s what the table looks like on Saturday morning (November 29, 2025) before any of this weekend’s ten Premier League matches are played:
My conclusions and predictions for Saturday’s matches
Brentford v Burnley (3 p.m.)
Brentford have secured 13 of their 16 points so far at the GTech Community Stadium. Win against Villa, Man U, Liverpool and Newcastle, draw against Chelsea and only lose to Man City.
Burnley has proven to be more competitive than most thought, but seven of the ten points have been taken on their own field. The exception was due to a 95th minute winner at rock bottom Wolves.
Hard to see anything other than a home win in Brentford.
Man City v Leeds (3pm)
Man City had won 11 and lost just one of their last 14 games in all competitions until they overperformed and were beaten by Newcastle United. Pep Guardiola responded to that rare loss by making ten changes and losing again to Bayer Leverkusen, although it is worth pointing out that the German side scored two goals with their only two shots on target.
Leeds showed a competitive advantage as they took eight points from their first six Premier League matches, but then lost five of their last six.
You have to think the only outcome here is for Manchester City to get back on track and things could get messy for Leeds if Haaland and friends score early.
Sunderland v Bournemouth (3pm)
The Mackems have had a lot of luck early in the season, and to some extent that continued last weekend. Fulham were by far the better team, but only managed to beat them 1-0. Only two points out of a possible nine for Sunderland so far in November and hopefully Bournemouth will get those two points out of twelve.
The Cherries were on a run of five wins and three draws in an eight-match unbeaten Premier League run before injuries took their toll. Heavy defeats at Man City and Villa, after which West Ham took a 2-0 lead last weekend, after which Bournemouth came back to 2-2 and ultimately should have won.
The injury situation could improve and especially if their talisman Semenyo is back, I can see Bournemouth winning this one.
Everton vs Newcastle (5.30pm)
The only thing that really matters, of course.
If Newcastle United play anything close to what they performed in their most recent match, against Manchester City, then I have every confidence that Eddie Howe’s side can win this.
If United play anything like the last two Premier League away games against Brentford and West Ham, then…
Spurs v Fulham (8 p.m.)
In Spurs’ last six games in all competitions they have won just one, at home to Copenhagen in the Champions League. The other five conceded fourteen goals in defeats to Newcastle, PSG, Arsenal and Chelsea, with a 2-2 draw in a very poor quality match against Man U.
Fulham are a much better team than they had shown with four consecutive Premier League defeats.
They have bounced back to some extent with home wins in the Premier League against Wolves and Sunderland, either side of losses at Everton.
Any of the three results are possible here, but against such a fragile Spurs team Fulham could take at least a point, possibly all three.
