Looking at these Premier League luminaires in these round of competitions.
The other games see from a Newcastle United Perspective.
Eddie Howe and his players start at 2 p.m. in their Sunday game at home to Nottingham Forest.
This weekend the Premier League matches started on Friday evening, Fulham led 1-0, but Bournemouth at home scored three late goals to go the second top of the table.
Now, four other Premier League matches on Saturday.
Then five on Sunday including the NUFC competition.
As a fan of Newcastle United, watch the other Premier League matches this weekend and you think about what you would like to happen and what is probably in terms of results.

My conclusions
Saturday, October 4, 2025
Leeds V Spurs (12.30 pm)
Leeds does more than ok. Especially if you hammer the 5-0 on Arsenal and take away a cup junction at Sheff Wed, when Farke played a weakened team.
In their other five Premier League matches they won two, two signed and one lost. It would have been three victories, but their last game saw (now second in the table) Bournemouth get a 93rd minute’s winner. While their only other competition of the competition except the Arsenal One was, when he admitted his own goal in the 94th minute, so Fulham won 1-0.
I suppose your spurs can give the honor for the return of late competitions, but their last three games have picked up the draws against Brighton, Wolves and Bodo/Glimt. They did not play well in one of these matches and were two in Brighton to finally get an undeserved draw thanks to an 82nd minute of their own goal. At home behind Wolven it was a 94th minute Equalizer. While the Norwegian side was much superior and had to win easily, had two goals up, but then Spurs finally got a point from an 89th minute of his own goal.
I don’t think Spurs has improved a lot last season and will not harass the top of the table, while leeds seem to be able to avoid a relegation struggle. I am divided between predicting a home victory or a draw, probably with another lucky point for traces.
Arsenal v West Ham (3 p.m.)
Almost everyone will see this as a home banker and are difficult to disagree.
Nuno managed to get a draw in Everton in his first game, after the Hammers had lost five of the six games.
However, we have all seen how well Arsenal can play in SJP last Sunday, if they play something like that, they will win. The only hope for West Ham is that the Gunners did not succeed in reaching those levels this season and in midweek Olympiakos almost took a draw at the Emirates. The very late second goal flattering Arsenal.
However, this will certainly be a home victory, unless Nuno subtracts a fully defensive closed off.
Man UV Sunderland (3 p.m.)
One of those competitions where you wonder what you want. I can never want the Mackems to win, but on the other hand I don’t want you to end up in a series of victories and end up in a decent place in the table, then suddenly start playing well. I know that that is very unlikely, given people, you look just as nonsense this season as last, under the Clueless Amorim.
On balance, however, I suppose a draw would be the preferred result, also most likely.
Sunderland shows some resilience after being spent a large spent in the summer and also wore happiness. Even if the person you won today, they would stay under the Mackems.
A scoreless draw is my prediction.
Chelsea in Liverpool (5.30 pm)
The darlings of the media come together in this. In my opinion, both hypeded ridiculous, compared to reality.
Both wore good luck in the early competitions and Chelsea was more of that luck when she was very happy to win 1-0 at Benfica in midweek at home. Their last three league games that count back, however, were a 3-1 hammering at home through Brighton, a very bad 2-1 defeat at Man U, as well as a draw in Brentford.
The media were in the denial of Liverpool, at best on average in most competitions and therefore so much luck with a series of late and very late winning goals.
That scandalous happiness is not now at the same levels, both Crystal Palace and Galatasaray, although Liverpool is still lucky not to lose both games due to larger score lines.
I think that a draw here is probably and quite possible none of the parties who show a great attacking ambition and risks a new defeat.

Aston Villa v Burnley (2 p.m.)
Villa achieved their first domestic victory of the season last Sunday at the seventh attempt, the 3-1 score a bit misleading, although Fulham took the lead and saw a series of decisions against them from match officials, including what looked a clear punishment that was not given to make it 2-0.
Their only earlier victory had been a non-convincing 1-0 from Bologna in the Europa League at home.
They had a more convincing 2-0 away in Feyenoord on Thursday, but I am looking forward to a draw here.
Burnley has the advantage of not a midweek match and although they are not a great side, they show a considerable form in most matches and were certainly worth a draw against Liverpool and Man you, only to give in very late to Old Trafford and at home to the scousers.
I think Burnley will get a point and perhaps even win a shock away, not excluded.
Everton V Crystal Palace (2 pm)
Grealisk is well on loan at Everton, but I don’t find them convincing at all.
Their last four games have seen bad home breach with Villa and West Ham, a defeat in Liverpool and a 2-0 cup loss at Wolves.
Palace, on the other hand, will be installed under the impressive Glasner, last weekend and Thursday evening a 2-0-way victory against Dynamo Kiev in Poland.
I think Palace will win, but perhaps a lot that Everton can scramble a different home stretch if the road side has fatigue/selection problems after their game on Thursday evening.
Newcastle against Nottingham Forest (2 p.m.)
The only game that really matters.
Playing against a team and club that has become a bit of a mess, Forest won only three of their last 18 games in all competitions, none at all in this most recent six under Ange Postecoglou and give 13 goals in this last half dozen.
No reason why United cannot win this season and the newest international break full of momentum and growing confidence is going.

Wolves V Brighton (2 p.m.)
Brighton has a good team, but inconsistent, with two wins, two draws and two defeats in the Premier League. They have also admitted in all six PL competitions.
I don’t think wolves are so bad as their opening of five defeats presented in the Premier League.
They won at home against both Everton and West Ham in the Carabao Cup and then should have achieved their first PL victory of the season, only to admit to Spurs in extra time.
Brighton is able to beat every team on their day, but I have the feeling that this could be when Wolves win their first Premier League victory of the season.
Brentford v Man City (4.30 pm)
Most people predicted that Brentford fell apart after losing their manager and important players, with almost as many predicted that Man City would be back to something like their best after mass expenditure in 2025.
Brentford is unbeaten in both Cup and League until the last 16 of the Carabao Cup and its home.
At home, the Keith Andrews team won twice against Villa, man, you were lucky that you only lost 3-1 last weekend, while the bees also had a 2-2 draw against Chelsea.
Since an opening day at Wolves, Man City has won only three of the seven games in the Premier League and Champions League.
They lost away from home from Brighton and have received draws in Arsenal and Monaco.
At home at Man City, Brentford has a victory, a draw and one defeat in their last three Premier League collisions in the Gtech Community Stadium. I think Brentford can come to one point on Sunday.
