Newcastle United has completed the signing of Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart for a club record transfer.
The German striker is the fifth addition of the magpies of the summer after they have agreed to pay a fee of £ 65 million, so that the previous £ 63 million record that they have paid for Alexander Isak is overshadowed.
Isak has insisted on a move to Liverpool, but Newcastle is not willing to sell their star player until they find a replacement and another attacker for Deputize.
The arrival of Woltemade dissolves half of the comparison, while working on movements for Brentford’s Yoane Wissa and Jorgen Strand Larsen van Wolves.

“I am really happy to be in this great club,” said Woltemade after completing the move to St James’ Park. “From the first contact I felt that the club really wanted me and had big plans for me.
“It is a big step in my life to leave Germany, but everyone has welcomed me so well and it already feels like a family. I have a very good sense of speaking with the head coach that this is the right place for me to find my best level.
“I know the stadium from watching games on television – it looks great and I know the atmosphere is crazy. I am very enthusiastic to play here and score goals.”
Newcastle -Manager Eddie Howe believes that Woltemade is the perfect addition to the attack on his part.
“We are delighted to get Nick’s drawing over the line so quickly,” he said. “It fits in the profile for exactly what we want to add to our attacking options.
“He is strong in many areas – he has a great technical capacity and has proven to be a real threat in one of Europe’s top competitions – but he is also still at an age where he has enough room here to develop and grow.
“Nick is also a great character and we are very happy to welcome him in the group.”
