I see things very simply with Eddie Howe.

Other Newcastle United fans clearly think differently.

A bit like ‘A dog isn’t just for Christmas’…

A brilliant Newcastle United manager won’t be fired at Christmas…

If Eddie Howe decides at the end of the season that just five more years is the right time to say goodbye to Newcastle United, then fair enough.

I don’t think any of us need to worry about Eddie Howe getting the pressure; I have absolute confidence that he will do this of his own accord.

As someone recently wrote on The Mag, Eddie Howe is one of that rare breed.

He will always do what he thinks is right. The right thing for both himself and the football club.

Eddie Howe isn’t one to cling to a huge reward to get rid of him; he just walks away and wishes us all the best.

That’s the kind of person he is AND why I find it shameful the way some Newcastle United fans operate.

Of course you have the right to express your opinion, even if you think Eddie Howe should do something differently.

However, this is not the way many Newcastle United fans operate.

They act as if Eddie Howe is the enemy, someone who is far away because of their abuse.

Show some respect, Eddie Howe is one of us, he is a workaholic who never stops giving everything for the fans and the club.

If you’re dismissing him like he’s some idiot, have a talk with yourself.

Kevin Keegan left Newcastle United (not counting Mike Ashley’s embarrassing episode where he treated KK so pathetically) just shy of five years.

Anyone who doesn’t look back on Kevin Keegan as a brilliant Newcastle United manager who gave it his all is absolutely clueless.

The same goes for Eddie Howe.

Maybe he’s wrong, but I do know one thing: he will put his heart and soul into getting Newcastle United on the right track.

If you’ve supported Newcastle United for more than two minutes you absolutely need to know the difference between a good guy and a charlatan, we’ve had plenty of the latter.

If you thought in the summer of 2025 that Eddie Howe was the right man for this season, after a trophy win and another Champions League qualification, then you should be thinking the same now, that we at least see what he does this season before passing judgement.

It makes me laugh that many of these Newcastle United fans who go over the top with their insults and disrespect for Eddie Howe will also be among the Newcastle United fans who demand to queue if/when cup final tickets are handed out again, when United are just one round away from Wembley (for the third time in four years!).

Now is the time to support Eddie Howe and (AL) his players.

At the end of the season we will see where we stand.
