Newcastle back for Ramos with PSG -Deal possible to punish the sale of Isak – report

On the eve of our first match of the Premier League season, our continuous search for a striker continues to dominate the headlines.

While Alexander Isak refuses to train in an attempt to force a move to Liverpool, we conclude Yoane Wissa, but have to sign two new attackers to punish the sale of the Swede.

In the meantime, Eddie Howe is stuck with not having a natural or productive striker to call: the only manager in the Premier League in that unfortunate position.

It is therefore logical why a new report associates us with a new interest in one of our previous goals with a big name, especially after he had achieved the newspaper heads Midweek with an inspired performance for his club …

According to Post Craig Hope, Newcastle has housed their interest in PSG and Portugal striker Gonçalo Ramos, with both clubs that indicate that a deal could be closed.

Last week it was suggested that a move for the 24-year-old looked less likely, although it seems that things may have changed.

Craig Hope reports that Ramos is now again a ‘live option’ in the small pool of Newcastle Pole that is considered good enough to replace Isak, where intermediaries now indicate that a deal is possible because PSG seems to be open for a sale.

Ramos produced a number of heroic deeds midweek during PSG’s Supercup collision against Spurs, scored a stop time -time -equalizer and then converted his punishment during the decisive shootout to give the European champions more silverware.

But if brilliant of a cameo was, it is unlikely that it has changed the spirit of Luis Enrique about starting Ousmane Dembele as the PSG NO.9 for the upcoming campaign.

With 34 goals in 88 performances for the club, a permanent step could be the new start Ramos needs, especially prior to the 2026 world cup where Portugal already has a huge depth in the attack.

Earlier this week it was hinted that, despite the recent antics of Isak, those within the club still recognize his immense quality and that no other player can do what he does on the market.

Simply put, an unmotivated and unhappy Isak will still play football and score goals.

But there is no guarantee that will happen, and Howe can justify his word that only players who want to be here should get the privilege to wear the shirt.

Combined with the approaching arrival of Yoane Wissa, Ramos would be more than able to match Isak’s phenomenal attacking output.

And almost two years younger than Isak would offer him time to adapt to the Premier League and to become the next face of the Newcastle United Project.
