“I have a lot to be grateful for; was pretty happy with my life; blessings, talents, many things that God gave me,” Shelton continued. “A small setback like this, yes, it hurts. I played really well, I was in shape, a lot of confidence. Just so many things to be happy with the way I played, moving on the field, competing.
“But as I said, it was a great summer, many things to be grateful for. You won’t hear me pouting here about how bad things are with the summer I have had, the things I have been able to do in this sport in a short time and the people I have around me. As I said, many blessings.”
