The least consistent hockey of the year is underway. The Rangers split their first two presidential matches, defeated the Devils in New Jersey and blow up a lead and then lose overtime against the Bruins at MSG. We have still not seen many regulars, so with everything for us, it is only good to hand out the end of the season prizes for the 2025-2026 season. This is just a stupid way for me to talk out of my ass about how I propose the year that for every player I give a prize. Without further delay, my 2025 New York Rangers in season superlatives.
Most likely Anthony Volpe – Alexis Lafreniere
Lafreniere is the man we like to have hunted to see the next step take to become a game breaker, and it just never seems to come. Last year there was a lot of “one step forward, two steps back” in terms of Impact, just like Anthony Volpe, who looks great after a day of rest, but disappears for the next 8 games. Cowardly scores a highlight of the highlights and then goes with a 0-1-1 with a -4 in the next two weeks. You want to love him, you know that there is something (you have seen it with your own eyes!), But it just doesn’t stay on a consistent basis. I expect that in this respect we will see more of the same from Lafreniere, but don’t fear! In my opinion, his contract will really age well, his AAV number ($ 7.45 million) will be very digestible for a middle six man who yields 50-60 points per year towards the end of his term of office. Not the prize that someone dreams of winning, but cowardly is the most likely Anthony Volpe Award winner.
Jaxson Dart – Gabe Perreault is most likely
Despite an impressive start of the preseason so far, I don’t think we’re making Gabe out of the camp. However, if someone in the Middle Six Wing Group will miss a considerable time, I fully expect that Perrault is the man who comes from Hartford to fill that place. What happens afterwards? Who knows. Checking in after Sunday as soon as we see how Jaxson Dart is doing against the chargers. Hopefully he deserves his migration tree and looks like an impact player, so that Gabe can eventually get into the line -up and do the same.
Most likely to make you think: “Why did we ever exchange this guy?” – JT Miller
The newest captain of Rangers is a double 99+ pointed man and an absolute honey dash from a player. He was taken over through the trade from Vancouver last season, but you might know him from … the last time he was in the Rangers. When he was 25 years old, he was exchanged at that time, alongside Rangers Captain, to the Lightning, alongside Rangers captain, Ryan McDonagh. Miller was still developing, had a number of alleged ice cream issues and the Rangers started a rebuilding, but Miller became an adult to one of the more impactful players, especially when he went his way to Vancouver. Whether or not you think it was logical to exchange him all those years ago, JT Miller’s first season as Rangers Captain Let you think: “Where has this man been my whole life?” He is perhaps the only ranger since Panarin has been signed who can compete with Panarin’s attacking output, but he also brings a damn attitude that the team desperately needs. You will like to get Miller back for a full season.
Most likely find a new boyfriend – Mika Zibanejad
We were all sad to see Kreider leave, which indicates the end of an era and reminded us of what could have been there. Nothing more sad than Mika Zibanejad, whom I would compare with a mourning widow in the immediate net of Kreider’s departure. Zibanejad, however, wants to stay in New York, and as such he will of course find a new bromance that the ladies of Rangers Twitter will spend the year with the transfer. It will happen pretty quickly, you would be shocked how quickly some people can continue. Who knows, maybe it will be the AWARDEE of the next superlative?
Most likely, the new boyfriend of Mika – Will Cuylle is
I don’t even think the age gap is so problematic. I see a line of 93 – 8 – 50 extremely effective for the Rangers, and I would like to see that Cuyll is trying to imitate part of Kreider’s net front skills that lose the Rangers in his absence. Of course, the more Cuylle Kreider emulates, the more Zibanejad will fall in love with him, and before you know it they will do that “hug at the end of the fist’s pink line after a victory” what we got used to.
Everyone’s favorite new guy – Vladislav Gavrikov
The large free agent Splash of the low season will be one of your favorite players immediately. Last year, Vladdy had some of the best defensive statistics in the competition and he is certainly ready to bring the same competition for Igor Shesterkin, and he is certainly enthusiastic for that opportunity. The Rangers have a Russian mafia species that develops with those boys and Panarin, so don’t be surprised if you start hearing rumors about a certain three -time cup winner from Russia that is traded to New York for a final shot on a cup if it goes well with Broadway.
Everyone’s favorite new whip boy – Carson Soucy
If things are going badly on Broadway, don’t be surprised if you see an angry crowd outside of MSG who demands these guys on a dish. His cap -hit of $ 3.25 million is more than enough to generate indignation if his game is a disadvantage for the rangers who keep the puck out of their net, and based on how his shortened stint went with the team last season, Soucy will be an easy target for Boo -Vogels like things this year will become sour. Hopefully he will find a completed game under the new bank boss Mike Sullivan. If he can’t do that, expect his name on the market or from buyout rumors next summer.
Summer 2025 is officially over and the regular season only starts two weeks away. I always hate to see this time of the year fall- the leaves fall, the sun that ends up earlier, the boat that comes out of the water- but it also means that hockey is back, and when it comes to silver carrying, they will not get better than that. As far as I’m concerned, the Rangers can be everything this season. They could look like the team that went to the ECF and won the President’s trophy in 2024 and start winning the division and boarding. They can also completely implode and finally end in the competition. In that case we would at least have a chance of a potential generation talent in Gavin McKenna. I am excited to see which team will be released on October 7, and I am just as excited to talk hockey again with everyone who reads this and everyone in the morning treasure group again. Hopefully you have not found this blog too stupid, let’s have a great year NHL hockey.
