Not long after Kamala Harris lost the 2024 elections, its senior advisers and the Democratic National Committee concluded a handshake agreement.
Mrs. Harris still piled up bills and had counted campaign officials on the collection of more money during a long fight for votes. Instead, the race was mentioned early in the morning after the election day.
The private agreement was this: the party would collect the tab for any outstanding 2024 accounts, so that Mrs. Harris could claim that she had not terminated the race in debt. In turn, Mrs. Harris would raise the money to cover all those remaining costs, leaving the party financially while it wanted to navigate through the second Trump era.
On the left in the dark were the small donors who received nearly 100 e -mail applications that this year was sent by the Harris operation on behalf of the DNC alone. The e -mails did not disclose that funds from those e -mails were essentially reserved from remaining bills.
