The Mantaray Marina will open on The Spit in May 2026.
Expressions of interest have opened for boats keen to rent a slip at the Gold Coast’s newest marina development, with prices starting from $2,000 per month.
The Mantaray Marina will open on The Spit in May 2026, alongside a 11,000 sq ft floating lounge, 24 ultra-luxury residences, a shopping plaza and a new public promenade connecting the Broadwater to the ocean.
The $400 million mixed-use redevelopment includes 10,000 m² of land and a further 13,000 m² of dedicated marina water.
It is being developed by Gordon Corp, led by Tim Gordon in partnership with pub baron Bruce Mathieson, and is the first major project to be completed on the peninsula since Palazzo Versace and Marina Mirage more than 25 years ago.

The precinct will feature the new 67-berth Mantaray Marina, 24 luxury residences, 12 private pools, 14 lifts, a 40-metre resort pool, shopping plaza and floating lounge, designed to become a new landmark on the Broadwater.
Gordon Corp sales and marketing director Lara Dimond said The Mantaray Marina is intended to be a destination in itself.
“This is the first time we have made the moorings available for hire and it was important to us that construction of the marina and the wider residential and commercial area was well progressed before we started this process,” Ms Dimond said.
“Delivering new berth capacity to the Gold Coast is vital for tourism and the evolution of The Spit as a true superyacht and lifestyle precinct.
“The Mantaray Club, located in the heart of the marina, is being built off-site and will be transported along the Broadwater next year.”

The site, designed in collaboration with Inarc Design QLD and Rothelowman, will be completed by mid-2026.
Marina manager Luke McCaul said Mantaray Marina would bring together standard superyacht infrastructure with a hospitality-focused approach to service.
“The 67 berths range in size from 10 to 60 metres, with 20 dedicated berths for superyachts from 25 to 60 meters and the remaining berths accommodating vessels from 10 to 22 metres,” he said.
“All berths have access to a range of signature experiences, including The Mantaray Club, an iconic two-storey floating lounge at the entrance to the marina.”

Mr McCaul, who will oversee the day-to-day management of the marina, said there had been strong early interest in the moorings, which offer both short- and long-term opportunities.
“Marina moorings are scarce and vessel owners are looking for a high level of amenities, safety and privacy,” said McCaul.
Monthly slip rental contracts start from $2000 per month.
