Nearly 200 luxury apartments are coming to a key Olympic precinct in Brisbane, minutes away from where the high-stakes competitions will be held.

Consolidated Properties Group (CPG) is preparing to build ‘Gloriette’ at Yeerongpilly Green: a 25-storey tower on King Arthur Tce, with 181 units on the Brisbane River.

The building is a short walk from the Queensland Tennis Center on the same street, which is expected to become the official tennis venue for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The building, designed by Rothelowman, received development approval last year and construction is expected to begin in July.

The complex is located on a site of 4,323 m², with the emphasis on the height to allow for more than 2,000 m² of greenery.

CPG residential division chief James MacGinley said Gloriette’s name was inspired by the building’s surroundings: the word ‘gloriette’ means a structure built on an elevated site in a park.

“In principle, the footprint of the building is about half of what could have been on the site, allowing for extensive public gardens to be created around the building,” he said.

“The theme of tall, slender towers surrounded by a lush garden landscape is something that will be replicated in Yeerongpilly Green.”

The complex is being promoted as the ‘first’ building of the Yeerongpilly Green precinct: an $850 million masterplan project, in partnership with the State Government and CVS Lane Capital.

The majority of the homes will consist of two to three bedrooms.

Starting prices for a two-bedroom apartment start at $1.425 million, while a three-bedroom house starts at $2.5 million.

Larger prestige units are expected to occupy the top five floors of the building, with details and sales to follow at a later date.

It is expected to include several shared amenities for residents, including a rooftop terrace with a pool and spa, dining and lounge areas, and a garden.

A wellness center on level 2 also includes a gym, yoga room, hot and cold plunge pools and a sauna.

Mr MacGinley said the boutique opportunity for downsizers will help free up available space for homebuyers in the rest of the city.

“We have had very good involvement from the existing local population [developments]he said, citing Tennyson Reach as an example.

“They actually refer interested buyers, which was really cool.

“Our local neighbors have been very supportive of the neighborhood we are creating and just want to see it come to life.”

Hutchinson Builders is expected to lead construction, with expected completion in late 2029.
