Stephen Curry said on Thursday that he is enthusiastic about the ability of the Golden State Warriors to challenge more championships in the future despite their disappointing early exit of the NBA play -offs.
The Warriors bent from the late season on Wednesday when the Minnesota Timberwolves called for a 121-110 victory to achieve an emphatic 4-1 victory in their Western Conference Best-of-Seven Semi-Final Series.

Curry spent the last four games of the series as a frustrated spectator on the sidelines after having sustained a hamstring injury in the Warriors’ Game-One victory last week.
Speaking with reporters on Thursday while the Warriors kept their last media availability of the season, the 37-year-old superstar insisted that a veteran line-up of which the core players are all far into thirty could approach with optimism next season.
Curry said that the Warriors in the last two months of the regular season, where the team was transformed by the arrival of Jimmy Butler in an exchange of Miami and defeating second seeds Houston in the first round of the Play -Offs had convinced him that Golden State could reach the Pinnacle again.

“You look at the sample size over the past two months and even the Houston series when we had focused our mind on a goal, we had enough to achieve it and at a point where we played quite a high-level basketball,” said Curry. “Does this mean that we can win a championship? We hope so. That is really all you want is the chance of a hunter.
More in the tank

“You are watching the competition now. I know that many young people are taking over, but we were one of the last eight teams that realistically had a shot, and if you can run that back, make a few tweaks that can help us overall schedule … I feel that we could be that team.”
Curry hopes that the summer will offer much needed recovery time after a debilitating period of 12 months, so that he had prepared the outdoor season outside the season of last year and played at the Olympic Games in Paris.
“I don’t have an Olympic Games and it is going to rebuild – one, getting rest, getting a little away from the game and then rebuilding everything for another great run,” Curry said.

“I will fully benefit from the low season, knowing that I have played a lot of basketball in the past year, and a lot in the tank to prepare you, so I am enthusiastic about it.”
Curry indicated that he expected Butler, Drayond Green and head coach Steve Kerr would all be motivated in the same way.
“I, Drayond, Steve, Jimmy – our contracts are all two years, and we want this ride to last as long as possible,” Curry said.
“That is all that I am really focused on. I am enthusiastic about it because there is clarity, although there are many decisions that have to be made in the summer.”
Curry said that the prospect of renewing his partnership next to Butler, was a special reason for excitement about the challenges that lie in front of us, what Butler’s integration in the setup described as ‘seamless’.
“Me and he filled each other so well,” said Curry about Butler. “He gave us so much conviction that we could beat someone for a certain night and make a legitimate run to climb the rankings and even have some playoff experience to look forward to.
“I think it was a success, and now you have to build on that with a full season hopefully for us. I am enthusiastic about it.”
