After he was traded to the Utah Jazz earlier this summer, it was generally expected to be bought Kevin Love. Given this connected many people the dots with a possible reunion of a possible Love-Minnesota Timberwolves. It is logical because Love spent the first six years of his career at the Wolves, where he is remembered as one of the best players in the franchise history, and would probably want to end up on a competition if he is indeed purchased.
NBA Insider Marc Stein recently reported That jazz and love have not had serious buy -out discussions.
“The Jazz and Kevin Love, I have been told, have not yet moved to serious buy -out discussions despite reports from the opposite,” said Stein.
Love was traded in July, so the fact that he was still bought would have to lift some eyebrows. Stein’s report indicates that nothing is imminent. Perhaps love is comfortable to play an experienced role in a reconstruction team. Pension can also be on the horizon for the 37-year-old. If love is not bought out for the season, a buy-out can be in the game in the middle season.
Do not expect Kevin Love to return to Minnesota
Even the scenario in which love is bought out, whether before the season or in the middle of the season, does not expect that he will end up in Minnesota. De Wolves recently signed Bones Hyland. Although they have an open schedule, even after signing Hyland, they will sign Johnny Juzang for a standard contract or leave this last place open for some extra financial flexibility.
Can they leave this place open and complete a storybook reunion if it is finally bought out? Of course, but I don’t see this as a likely result. It would be a great story and love would be a great experienced presence. However, love would not crack the rotation for the wolves, so it would not be worth the financial impact. The 6-foot-8-predicted attacker was in particular on average only 10.6 minutes past 23 games with the Miami Heat last season. As a result, I think the wolves would avoid this movement.
In addition, Jake Fischer reported in August that love could move to Los Angeles and New York if he is bought out. Then Brett Siegel Los Angeles mentioned as the specific place where love would like to end. This emphasis on larger markets does not predict well for the opportunities of the wolves to reunite with love.
Ultimately, all signs indicate that a Wolven-Love reunion is unlikely and Stein’s report is further evidence.
