Nava Nets Fourth Challenger title of the year, binding seasonal leader

Emilio Nava built on his career-best year on Sunday at the ATP Challenger Tour event in Villa Maria, Argentina, where the American conquered his fourth title of 2025. Nava and Borna Coric are now on top of the leaderboard of the Challenger season with four titles each.

Nava returned to action for the first time and Nava dropped only one set on its way to the title and got home Hope Alex Barrena 6-3, 6-3 in the final.

“I had a pretty good week,” said the bilingual Nava in Spanish. ‘My team and I did well. I like it [the Argentine crowd] Because it adds a little more tension [when facing an Argentine] And it makes everything a little more fun when the crowd is 100 percent. I thought it was great. ”

Nava, who is coached by Argentinian Diego Cristin, has earned all six of his challenger trophies on clay. Earlier this season he went on a 19-match winning streak on the surface, a run in which he won three titles (Asuncion, Conceptcion and Sarasota) and finished second in Tallahassee.

The 23-year-old made his top 100 debut last Monday and is currently number 90 in the PIF ATP Live ranking.

Reigning NCAA -Singles Champion Zheng saves two championship points

In other Challenger campaign, the reign of NCAA Singles champion Michael Zheng saved two championship points to conquer his second title of the season. The Columbia University star gathered along Martin Damm 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 in an all-American final in the Indoor Columbus Challenger in Ohio.

Damm, who aimed for his first Challenger trophy, held championship points on return to 5-4, 15/40 in the decision maker. Nevertheless, Zheng had the upper hand and backup of his Chicago Challenger Triumph from last month to extend his winning series at that level to 10. Zheng, 21, is 85 places at no. 227 in the PIF ATP Live rankings.

Choinski claims title after saving four consecutive match points in R2

Brit Jan Choinski almost went from the tournament to winning the Layjet – opened by Kronen Zeitung in Bad Waltersdorf, Austria. Four consecutive match points in the second round to Marko Topo, the 29-year-old 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (6) escaped at his momentum to eliminate his third Challenger Trophy of the Year and sixth. Choinski defeated Vit Kopriva 7-5, 6-4 in the final.

Tuniasian Echargui wins the third trophy in so many months

Tunisies’s Moez Echargui won his third Challenger title in so many months at the Saint-Tropez Open. Echargui then defeated Frenchman 6-3, 6-4 added in the final. In July the 32-year-old the second oldest (Joseph Sirianni) became first Challenger Champion with his triumph in Porto.

Former no. 3 Stan Wawrinka made the semi-final of Saint-Tropez, but withdrew against Saturday the game on Saturday due to a left hamstring injury. Wawrinka, 40, reached a challenge final in Rennes, France last week.

Agamamenon lifts the first title in more than two years

The Italian Franco Agamamenone returned for the first time since July 2023 to the circle of the winner. The 32-year-old claimed that the Intaro 2 in Targu Mures, Romania, opened, where he defeated top seeds Jay Clarke 6-3, 6-4 in the final. Agamamenone is a five-time Challenger champion.
