Drive-Thru coffee offices in northwest Indiana will soon get more competition.
The Dutch Bros, which operates in Oregon, which operates more than 1,000 locations, mainly on the west coast, will make its first entrance to the region with a location in Valparaiso. Vicki Thrasher, director of the enforcement of the commissioner and code for the city of Valparaiso, confirmed that Dutch Bros will take over the space on 2510 Laporte Ave., who was previously occupied by Pizza Hut.
However, it will not be the only drive-Thru coffee in the city.
A 7 -brewing will be built on 2805 Calumet Ave. On the north side of the city, Thrasher said. The coffee shop is on the site of the former Long John Silver’s.
In the meantime, Crown Point also has a 7 -brew of 7, which marks the second location of the coffee chain in Lake County. It was opened for the first time along US Route 30 in Dyer near Calumet Avenue in February.
Mary Freda-Flores, communication director of Crown Point, said that 7 Brewe was approved for a Drive-Thru coffee company housed in a 693 square feet building at Broadway 10671, north of East 107th Avenue.
There are other existing Drive-Thru options for coffee drinkers in northwestern Indiana.
Nebraska-based Scooter’s Coffee opened on 8455 Wicker Ave. Earlier this year in St. John. The room operated Lil ‘Coffee Cabin, with a small batch of air-roasted coffee, has a store along US Route 30 near Highway 330 in Schererville.
National Drive-Thru coffee chains have risen in popularity throughout the country in recent months as alternatives to Starbucks or Dunkin, ‘and the Chicago region is no exception.
7 Brew, which has locations in more than 30 states, made in roads in the suburbs of Chicago, opening locations in Huntley, Round Lake Beach, Mokena, Naperville and Lake Zurich. Scooter’s is also present in the area, with coffee shops in Naperville, New Lenox, Wheeling, Yorkville and Plano.
