Nate Diaz continues to put Khamzat Chimaev on blast after UFC 319.
Chimaev captured the UFC Middle Weight Championship thanks to an outburst decisivation victory at Dricus du Plessis in Chicago. The game was not competitive, because Du Plessis had no answer to the wrestling of ‘Borz’. Although there is no doubt that Chimaev has set up a master class in the grab department, some fans and even experts believe that the lack of action left much to be desired.
Diaz quickly shared his thoughts on social media by expressing his conviction that Chimaev cannot ‘fight’. The Stockton legend added context to his post during a live stream with Dying.
Nate Diaz says that Khamzat Chimaev is a ‘frightened hunter’ 😬
“He comes off when this big, intimidating guy, but he is a big frightened child.”

“I don’t like that kind of fighting,” said Diaz. “It’s boring for me. He is supposed to be a big, scary guy, right? And then you remember that he had him under control and he holds him? Dominates him, right? And then he is like: “Let’s go,” and he touches him a bit. Real punches and [expletive]. That is what people don’t understand about the style. That type of hunter is a frightened hunter.
“He is afraid of his life. He is so afraid that if he would hit him hard, that [expletive] can get up and the [expletive] Away from him. So that’s a frightened style for me. He comes off when this big, intimidating man, but he is a big, old, scared [expletive] child. That’s why I tweeted about it. I said he is not a hunter because you could see how scared he holds him so tightly. “
UFC CEO Dana White is already working to find Chimaev’s first title challenger. He has made a middleweight collision between Reinier de Ridder and Anthony Hernandez. Although the winner of that fight could earn a championship opportunity, the winner of Nassourdine Imavov vs. Caio Borralho also very much in the game.
