Nassourdine Imavov is not impressed by the fighting style of Caio Borralho.
Imavov and Borralho will collide on the main event of UFC Paris on 6 September. It is a crucial fight in the middleweight division. An impressive show from both men can possibly lead to a UFC Middleweight Championship chances. The next middleweight title fight takes place at UFC 319 when Dricus du Plessis joins the Gold against Khamzat Chimaev on August 16.
Although Imavov is not known for the exchange of verbal shots, he is not shy to express his opinion about Borralho’s fighting style. In an interview with Mmajunkie.comImavov said that his upcoming opponent has no chance against him.
“It’s very simple: I’m a complete hunter,” said Imavov. “I consider myself a complete hunter. So if it has to go to the ground, it goes to the floor. I will welcoming him to the floor. If it stays, it will be (better) and I will just demolish him. The thing is that I don’t speak too much, but when I fight, I want to bring a real show to my fans.”
Moreover, Imavov finds the fighting style of Borralho faint from a fan perspective.
“… he just wants to win the fight in this way, have a strange fight, a not interesting fight. That is not how I am used to. For me I will make this fight in a spectacular way. It is important for me to show people that I can make a boring hunter, a great fight.”
Imavov would give himself a lot of favors if he decimates Borralho in the way he proposes. At the moment Imavov is the number 1 of the UFC Middleweight, while Borralho is in the No. 6 place.
Borralho has revealed that he is the back -uper for the UFC 319 Main Event between Du Plessis and Chimaev, which is a chance that Imavov saved. Imavov said he does not want to hear apologies from Borralho about the fact that he has to make a weight twice in a short time.
