I want to thank Alexander Isak for his behavior and force Newcastle to leave. I also want to thank Liverpool for the ambiguous way in which they were restless.
Why on the hell do I say that, you can ask? Hear me …
1. The guy is not a team player, as he showed last season with his performances at the beginning and end of last season and we only want fully dedicated players in our club.
2. At one point, because of the corrupt PSR rules, we had to sell a major player to enable us to go to the next level. It might as well be one with the lack of character and morality that he has shown.
3. Isak and Liverpool have handed us a huge windfall that the club can transform in the coming seasons. Without this we could not move forward so quickly and we would all wait for the ax to fall for another star player. That is now less likely.
4. We may now have the strongest team in my living memory (with the possible exception of Keegan’s entertainers, but who knows they can even surpass them)
5. The new CEO and Sporting Director (who are both top class if reports are correct) will walk in a club that is united from top to bottom and in a very strong financial position. A club that has qualified for the Champions League in two of the last 3 season and won its first domestic trophy in 70 years. A club that is clearly in the up.
6. PIF will hopefully have learned lessons from what happened this summer and although it was a bit late, they have acted in recent weeks and ensured that the end of the transfer window could be considered a great success despite the circumstances (the CEO and Sporting Director and announce a new stadium)
7. Eddie Howe, Andy Howe, Jamie Reuben and Steve Nickson have cemented their reputation. In particular, Eddie’s handling of the entire Isak -affair has been a master class in diplomacy, hard work and man management – we really have an absolute gem and a gentleman who leads the team.
8. In summary, we have a club that is united from top to bottom, in a healthy financial position, a much stronger team with players dedicated to the club, new top class senior staff who will be added very soon, a second Champions League season to look forward and hopefully more silverwork.
So, in a funny old way, thanks Isak and Liverpool; Your £ 130 million may take us to the next level in advance.
