My five favorite features of this modern apartment in First Hill

Kim shares her favorites about this First Hill apartment, and there’s a lot to love! Everyone every now and then there is a house that makes you stop and think, wow!!! This is that house. Everything in this home has been updated, which is so rare in an apartment. The kitchen, the bathrooms, the fireplace, the home bar and even the fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms. Gut!!!

The chic updated kitchen

Yeah, I don’t really cook. And yet I still love a great kitchen, and this kitchen is super sleek. I love the clean lines and look of the cabinets paired with the unpolished granite countertops. Very European. The lighting under the cabinet is also a nice extra. Our client added cork floors because they are much more forgiving when you are baking or preparing food for hours every week. (Or for when you accidentally knock that glass of wine off the counter.) There’s also a ton of storage space in this kitchen. If you decide you don’t want or need a small bistro table, there’s a perfect place to add even more shelves for your high-end kitchen appliances.

This cool balcony + Seattle skyline views

What’s better than walking into a home and immediately seeing a view of the Seattle skyline? Here you not only have a beautiful view of the west, but also a beautiful balcony to enjoy. I can just imagine myself sitting on this scenic balcony with my morning espresso, catching up with people on social media and then relaxing here after work with a glass of rosé. There is even enough space here for you and your sweetheart to enjoy an intimate dinner together on a warm autumn evening.

The sexy primary school suite

I’ve been to MANY apartments and I’ve rarely seen a suite this large. There’s plenty of room here for a king-size bed and more. You also have the same beautiful view of the western city skyline from the bay window, which brings in plenty of natural light. This space is just so, well, sexy! And I must mention that the carpet throughout the apartment is a very luxurious wool carpet from New Zealand. And that’s exactly what your toes want to feel when you get out of bed in the morning. And to top it all off… What could be sexier than two HUGE closets and a stylishly updated primary bath? With a very spacious shower, I might add.

A dreamy design for entertaining in this modern First Hill apartment

Nothing says ’80s like a wet bar. And this device has one. Right next to the fireplace is this cute nook with all the bathroom fixtures ready to go and you can add the hippest wet bars. Until then, this is a great place to store your bar supplies, which you’ll need, as this apartment offers a great layout for entertaining. The open layout, the enormous kitchen, the fireplace, the balcony, the view… Wonderful! This is a perfect home for a chic cocktail party, a fun movie night, a raucous game night or a beautiful dinner party with your best friends.

The convenient location

While you may not be in the heart of Capitol Hill, you are just a few blocks away. And being in First Hill means less noise and traffic, without sacrificing convenience. You can still get downtown in minutes, via I-90, to Pioneer Square and the International District. There is easy access to public transport, buses and the trolley. There are also wonderful places to dine within blocks of this modern First Hill apartment. Fancy French cuisine? Go to L’Oursin. Do you like fresh Vietnamese food? Check out Ba Bar. Pizza night? Cora Pizza is minutes away. For great coffee, well, one of my favorite places, Boon Boona is just on 12th. In this fantastic neighborhood you get both peace and convenience!
