It was so easy to get the $20 membership online! It only took a few minutes. Then simply go to the membership desk in the store and get your official Sam’s Club card. I also added Jesse to my account for free!
I went shopping at Sam’s Club for the first time on Thursday evening around 6:15 PM and I decided this was a GREAT time to shop because there was hardly anyone in the store! The lady at customer service told me the store was almost empty, but throughout the week the store will often be full of people!

I was quite proud of this card! Like, I’m official or something! 🙂 (Years and years ago, Jesse and I had Sam’s Club memberships because we had a merchant account through them – the account that allowed us to accept customer credit cards for products, and one of the benefits of that was that we had a membership. We didn’t abandon the membership when we switched to another merchant account.)

I asked my audience to share which deals they highly recommend purchasing from Sam’s Club in this postand one of the most suggested items was the rotisserie chicken! It only cost $4.98 so I definitely grabbed one!

This was really an exploration for me to get familiar with the store, compare prices and see what deals I found. I only had about 20 minutes to shop, but since there was hardly anyone in the store, I was able to pass most of the store. I look forward to going back again soon (probably next week) to search for deals more thoroughly and see what great prizes I may have missed the first time!

I was really excited about the cottage cheese deal: 3 pounds for just $5.88!!

And of course I had to stop by the free sample machine to get a free sample!

I also picked up some Bare Chicken Bites. We love it and this price was a little less than the best deal I can get at Kroger on sale!

The prize I was most excited about was the Greek yogurt deal! We consume a LOT of Greek yogurt, mainly because it is one of David’s favorite foods and he usually eats a large bowl at least once a day. You could get 3 pounds for $4.76! Aldi has a bathtub half that size for $3.76, so this is definitely a great deal!

I also grabbed a 10 pound bag of sugar because we were out almost $7.88. Here’s everything I bought above – my total (including tax) was well over $40!

Overall I was so happy with the deals I found and that was only in 20 minutes! Now I will say that there were many items that were not good deals compared to what I pay at Aldi or Kroger. Plus, I can see where it would be easy to get distracted by all the clothing and appliance sales and who knows what else they have in the middle section (I haven’t been there!) and end up spending WAY more than you would if you were just shopping at a grocery store.

But if you’re careful, deliberate, and strategic, I think you can definitely save money by shopping at Sam’s Club – and the $20 membership fee will quickly pay for itself, plus more in the savings!
What are your honest thoughts? Do you have a Sam’s Club membership? Do you save money by shopping there? I’d love to hear it!
