March is one of my favorite months for the simple reason that my birthday falls in the middle of this budding month of spring! I associate the third month of the year with crispy tulips, rolls and marzipan cakes in long rows, warming rays of sunshine, dazzling birdsong and babbling brooks in a forest that gently awakens from winter dormancy.
