Beams started her journey as a coach and expressed her excitement to join the Mumbai Indians camp. The two-time champions are like a family and the bond within the group is extremely close, she thought. The 41-year-old added that this is exactly the kind of setup a coach would want to join and spend time alongside. Jhulan GoswamiMI’s bowling coach and mentor.
“It’s my first time back as a coach and it’s an incredible opportunity to work with someone like Jhulan Goswami, one of the greats of the game, someone I’ve played cricket against. An incredible culture that they’ve developed, a winning culture over a very long period of time, but a family and that’s what you hear everyone talking about, this group is so close.
“It’s like a family, and you want to be a part of that, and I think when you come in as a coach, that’s exactly what you want to be able to do: go into an environment that feels really close and a team that knows how to win,” Kristen Beams said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians’ official social media account.
