The Juvenile series 2025 started on Sunday in Seoul and Busan. In the capital, Mujehan Geep took a field of twelve rivals to keep his unbeaten record intact in the Munhwa Ilbo trophy, while on the south coast, Wild Park only had to struggle with seven rivals, but was completely pushed by Superex winner to secure the Gangseo-Gu Mayor’s Cup.

The winning trainer Moon Byeong-Ki had a decades of career as one of the most sought after assistant trainers at Seoul Racecourse. He finally received a license in himself in 2022 and Wise winners, quickly settled as the top trainer on the track, which led this year’s premiership. But to break through at group level, he now has three stated victories.
In Busan Wild Park was sent as the 1.6 favorite after the success of his Rookie stakes. He led from the gate under SEO Seung-un and seemed ready for a comfortable score until it became clear that Supex winner would not be shaken off easily.
Supex winner had raced only once before when 2nd to clear winner in August. It was clear that the winner was won at a higher level last Friday with a big margin and gamblers had seen enough to make Supex winner the second favorite here.
Undr Franco da Silva, Supex winner, it briefly touched the front that the Furlong Paal was approaching, but Wild Park gathered and lifted it better from the couple, eventually dominating through a neck on the line. Doctor Centum “won” a completely separate race for 3rd, a full seven-lengths back.

The next legs of the Juvenile series take place in Seoul and Busan on October 19 before the best of the tracks meet on November 23 on the south coast to dispute the Breeders Cup-smokie (1400m Kor-G2) to decide on the champion Juvenile van de Natie.
