WILKES-BARRE PA – Mr Pasadena (Green Manilishi S), second on Pocono’s inaugural 2026 hard racing card last Saturday, came right back after two days’ rest to capture the $15,500 paid trot on Tuesday at the mountain oval, winning in 1:57.1.
Braxten Boyd chased the Green Manilishi S gelding straight into the lead from the outside starting position, hitting the first station in :28.3 and then getting a breather to halfway in :59.2. The odds-on favorite went past three-quarters in 1:28.1, but during the long 61-1 shot, Moni Multiplier made growling noises in the Pocono Pike, causing Mr. Pasadena was forced to work for a half-length decision. Braxten Boyd led the chalk to Victory Lane for trainer Jill Wine and Wine Stable.
MR PASADENA REPEAT
Simon Allard and Anthony Napolitano each led a pair of winners on Tuesday’s card; no trainer could manage more than one appearance in the winner’s circle.
Pocono’s next card will be held Saturday at 1 p.m., and like the opening card there will be a pair of $27,500 supercharged fast-class events, one for each course, along with five $16,000 second-round preliminaries of the Game Of Claims Pacing Series, with this week’s competitors valued at a base price of $27,500.
