Nashville, Tenn. (AP) – Country Music Star Morgan Wallen denied to the police that he Threw a chair from a Nashville Honky-Tonk bar roof Before and after he was arrested and accused of reckless threat in 2024, police video obtained through the Associated Press shows.
About two weeks after his arrest of April 2024, Wallen commented on social media: “I am not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility” and said that he “make up for it” with Nashville Wet Enforcement and others. Then he pleaded two counts in December.
The police of Metro Nashville have released the images of Wallen’s arrest, captured by the body of various officers and cruiser cameras, in response to a public archives request from the AP. A previously released intelligent statement did not respond to the details of what Red Light District Officers told.
A broken chair from Chiefs
A police car camera shows two officers who stood outside respond to something that apparently falls from above on a late Sunday evening. And the body camera by one officer starts with a photo of a broken chair in the road near his parked police cruiser, close to Chief’s on Broadway, in the entertainment district of the city.
Then, while Wallen and his Bodyguard team come to the main entrance on Broadway, one of the men with ramparts shouts: “He has not seen anything. You have no witnesses, you accuse you!”
“He did nothing, he did nothing,” the bodyguard continues and accuses two bar workers of “being aggressive.”
When an officer asks Redenamen what happened, the musician answers: “I don’t know.”
He later tells another officer: “We didn’t try not to cause any problems, man. I don’t know what they are – I don’t know why.”
That officer said the police were what happened after a chair came to fly off the roof and landed through his patrol wagon. Wallen replied: “As you should.”
Eric Church Calling
At a certain point, Red Law is on his mobile and then points it to the officer and says: “Eric Church is on the phone.” Church, another land star, Co-own chiefs. During the call, Wallen had used an expletive to describe the officers he said, tried to take me to prison outside of your (expletive) bar. “
Church, who cannot be heard on the police recording, advised the officer that ramparts are waiting in a private room instead of being on the public sidewalk, said a representative in front of the church.
The officer replies: “It is not really something that we can do. Law enforcement must enforce the laws. Find out what happened. We have a supervisor who comes to the scene. Must treat it as we would do with someone else.”
Representatives for Wallen did not respond to requests for comments.
Back in the bar, the police were watching security images of the roof, body camera images in an office. The security video was not clear from the body cameras of the officers and a police spokesperson said there were no images of security camera from the bar in the files.
The officers return to the outside and a sergeant, who says he has looked at the security video of ramparts who threw a chair off the roof, he fascinates.
Another officer talks to two witnesses. One, referring to the chair, says that they “lift and throw it away” and laugh.
During the an hour and a half of the raid, Red Light District makes apologizing comments to officers without explicitly admitting something, “I really don’t mean any harm”, “sorry to cause problems, I didn’t want,” and “Goddamn it, I’m sorry.”
“He did not admit it, but we had him put on the camera,” says a sergeant after Wallen was fascinated, and also noted that the police had witness statements.
Some fans noted that Red Light District was surrounded by the police in the busy tourist hub of Nashville. They scream, “We love your Morgan!” As soon as Red Law is in the back of the police car, he says to the officer: “Get us away” and noted that people were on video tapes.
The double Grammy-Nominated is born and raised in Sneedville, Tennessee, is one of the biggest names in contemporary popular music, loved for his earworm hooks and distinguishing combination of Bro Country, Dirt-Rock and certain characteristics of hiphop. 2023’s “One Thing at On” Brak Garth Brooks’ Record for longest running no. 1 country album, and this year “I’m the problem” 12 weeks spent at number 1.
The career of Wallen is characterized by various other controversies, including an arrest of 2020 on public intoxication and disorderly behaviors after he has been kicked out Kid Rock’s Bar in the center of Nashville. In 2021, after a video of him appeared use a racial blemish, He was disqualified or limited from different award shows and did not receive Grammy nominations for his massively popular “Dangerous: The Double album.”
A Thomas Rhett Sing-Along
Wallen was talkative in the cruiser, show the images and said: “I did nothing wrong” and pressed the officer for his favorite country musicians.
“I can now tell you my top three,” the officer replies. “You are really one of them.” One of the songs of Wallen With Thomas Rhett Comes from the playlist of the officer.
“This is me and Thomas Rhett! Turn it up. That’s me and tr! I am there,” says Wallen, before I sing a few words from the song.
“TR is one of the best guys in the world. He would certainly not be arrested,” adds Wallen.
In December 2024, Wallen pleaded to two crime counts of reckless threat. He was convicted of spending seven days in a Dui -Education Center and to be supervised for two years.
When the judge asked how he would argue, he said, “Conditional guilty.” His lawyer said that the charges are eligible for dismissal and deportation after he has completed the probationary period.
Wallen’s own Nashville Honky Tonk, not far from Chiefs, opened less than two months after his arrest.
