New details have emerged about the Utah man who is suspected of killing Charlie Kirk, including that he had become “more politics” in recent years and expressed an aversion to the killed conservative commentator.
Tyler Robinson, 22, was taken into custody on Thursday evening local time, about 33 hours after Kirk, 31, was shot while students debated on stage during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University.
During a press conference on Friday, Governor Spencer Cox Details revealed about Robinson and his arrest, including that he was arrested after being known to a family friend, or “implied that he” had committed the murder before that person had contacted the police.

Canaan Timothy, 21, said he was in high school under Robinson in the year.

Robinson, he said, was just an ordinary student with an interest in music, who hung around with members of the school band.

Researchers who are still probing for motive

Legal enforcement officials had previously released a series of security cameras of a person of interest and asked the public to help him identify.

Researchers said earlier that they had discovered that the Bout-Action rifle was suspected that it was used to kill Kirk.
