Ugo Humbert and Adrian Mannarino will face each other for the fourth time in their careers when they meet again on Wednesday in the second round of the Occitanie Open. Mannarino leads the head-to-head series 2-1, but they have not faced each other since 2023.
Now 37 years old, Mannarino is slowing down. The southpaw compiled a modest 13-15 record on the main tour in 2025 and was 0-3 this season before defeating Pedro Martinez on Monday.
Humbert, on the other hand, is in great form. The world number 38 was runner-up in Adelaide a few weeks ago and he looked great in a straight-up defeat to Botic van de Zandschulp on Tuesday. That is nothing new for Humbert at home in France on an indoor hard court. This is always where he plays his best tennis.
