Monday Mocks: Superflex Rookie Draft Mocking – Dynasty League Football

Welcome to Monday Mocks, where I bring you… you guessed it, a new off-season mock design every Monday. In my opinion, drafting is the best part of fantasy football, so I do as much of that as possible. This series will be filled with all kinds of mocks. We draft startups, rookies, devys and more.

The NFL season is over and the countdown is on for dynasty managers! We’re only about two months away from the 2026 NFL Draft, and even in what’s being billed as a down year, excitement about the new crop and their potential impact on the league is quickly building. One of the highlights of this time of year is the consistent release of trial versions.

In today’s Monday mock I’m basing a superflex rookie concept on the latest Three-round NFL mock draft from Chad Reuter of NFL.com. I’ll only include players who were also part of Chad’s mock, and will mention where he picked them in brackets.

ROUND ONE:

1.01 Jeremiyah Love, RB NO (1.08)

While I don’t consider this a wise choice for the Saints, there is little that could push Notre Dame’s Love off the top line for dynasty rookie drafts. In New Orleans, Love would immediately claim the starting gig, with veteran Alvin Kamara possibly getting fired or simply retiring. Former day two pick Kendre Miller has failed to stay healthy enough to make an impact or guarantee himself a spot in the future. Love would immediately be valued as a mid-range RB1 in New Orleans, though that would be the case at just about any landing spot.

1.02 Fernando Mendoza, QBLV (1.01)

The only pick we can be sure of more than 60 days before the NFL Draft is that Mendoza will land in Vegas to become the Raiders’ new quarterback under the tutelage of new head coach Klint Kubiak. Mendoza is seen as a safe prospect, but without much imagination. However, with Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty around him, I have high hopes for the Heisman Trophy winner. Mendoza should establish himself as a high-end QB2 in the dynasty rankings this offseason and will have room to grow from there.

1.03 Makai Citroen, WR CLE (1.06)

The trio of elite wide receivers starts with Lemon, who came off the board first in Chad’s mock draft. In Cleveland, Lemon would have a chance to be the top target for second-year quarterback Shedeur Sanders, or whoever wins the job under new head coach Todd Monken. After a strong 2024 season, Jerry Jeudy struggled last year and was replaced quite easily.

1.04 Carnell Tate, WR BAL (1.14)

My favorite rookie receiver is Tate, who ends up with the Ravens in this scenario. With Monken and longtime head coach John Harbaugh in new locations, Baltimore and Lamar Jackson are sure to undergo significant changes under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, formerly of Chicago. Zay Flowers would serve as an early roadblock for targets, but ultimately I would expect Tate to outpace all other options in Baltimore.

1.05 Jordyn Tyson, WR PHI (1.18)

It’s hard to know what to expect from the Eagles. There have been plenty of rumors that veteran AJ Brown could be out this season, leaving the team with a clear need next to DeVonta Smith. If you spend a selection at the position midway through the first round, it’s assumed Brown is gone. If so, Tyson would have a chance to become the top target for Jalen Hurts, although the passing game hasn’t been consistently productive over the past two seasons.

1.06 Denzel Boston, WR BUF (1.20)

There is a clear drop in level after the top five in the superflex format, and the order of the remaining picks will largely be determined by the prospects’ landing spots. In this case, Boston gets the juiciest options, paired with Josh Allen and the Bills. The team has been missing a true WR1 since parting ways with veteran Stefon Diggs, and Boston would have a chance to climb the depth chart immediately. Boston’s dynasty value would rise quickly with this landing spot as he tries to avoid becoming the next Keon Coleman.

1.07 Jadarian Price, RB HOU (2.27)

The backfield has been one of the few weak spots for the Texans this season, and they will certainly look to improve through free agency or the Draft, or perhaps both. Veterans Nick Chubb and Joe Mixon are unlikely to return, leaving Woody Marks to pair with a newcomer. Marks was a pleasant surprise for the team and the dynasty manager, but failed to stake a claim to a leadership role. With this landing spot, the price would make a big jump.

1.08 KC Concepcion, WR PIT (1.21)

The Steelers made some moves at wide receiver a year ago, trading away George Pickens and acquiring DK Metcalf. There is still a lot of uncertainty with the Steelers, who will be led by new head coach Mike McCarthy, but the need for a wide receiver is clear. Concepcion, a Texas A&M product, will be a fixture in the latter part of the first round, and the chance to become Pittsburgh’s WR2 would further increase his dynasty value.

1.09 Kenyon Sadiq, TE MIA (1.19)

The best player in the class is Sadiq, who is widely expected to come off the board midway through the first round. With a solid landing spot, Sadiq would earn the same draft capital in the dynasty rookie drafts. The Dolphins have had some success in recent years, most notably during Jonnu Smith’s breakout season in 2024. Like many other teams around the league, there will be big changes in Miami next season, with new head coach Jeff Hafley and presumably a new quarterback.

1.10 Kaytron Allen, RB KC (3.10)

This would be a major shocker, but Chad’s mock has former Penn State back Allen coming off the board in the third round at the ideal landing spot in Kansas City. The Chiefs have relied on a combination of Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco the past two seasons, to poor results. Both are now free agents and the Chiefs plan to upgrade the position. Allen could potentially be drafted even higher in the rookie drafts, although I assume Allen would be paired with an experienced free agent asset, perhaps Breece Hall, who they tried to trade for at the deadline.

1.11 Ty Simpson, QB NYJ (1.16)

Despite the lack of quarterback options post-Mendoza, there has been relatively little love for Simpson, who enjoyed a career year with the Crimson Tide and reportedly turned down multiple offers to enter the NFL. In this scenario, Simpson is drafted by the Jets midway through the first round. Both the draft capital and the landing spot would seriously boost the value of Simpson’s dynasty.

1.12 Emmett Johnson, RBMIN (3.33)

Despite being labeled as a weak running back class, this mock draft opportunity could mean four ball carriers in the first round of the Dynasty rookie drafts. The latest is Johnson, a late third-rounder, who is headed to the Vikings. Minnesota went with a backfield duo of veteran Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason last year, and both were disappointed as they dealt with injuries. Mason is expected to return, but his starting days may be over, while Jones is at risk of becoming a cap casualty. Johnson, or whoever the Vikings drafted, would gain dynasty value and become an option in the late first round of rookie drafts.
