Moderna shares become a low after report suggests that the FDA is planning to link Covid shots to deaths by children

Pharma Stocks took a new hit on Friday after a report The Washington Post that the American Food and Drug Administration is said to be planning to link COVID-19 Vaccines with the death of 25 minors.

Modernna shares fell by 7.4% on Friday to their lowest level since March 2020. The decrease brought the year-to-date malaise from the drug maker to more than 44%. The company, based in Massachusetts, is one of the two manufacturers of approved MRNA Coronavirus vaccines.

The other MRNA COVID-19-FACHMINE, PFIZER, saw his own shares fall by 3.9%on Friday. Shares of his partner on the shot, Biontech, tumbled 7.3%, while shares in another vaccine maker, Novavax, fell 3.6%.

FDA officials are reportedly planning to present the data during an upcoming vaccine tranel meeting, according to the post. The data is apparently based on self -reported side effects collected in a federal database called the vaccine Novelse Event Reporting System (VAERS).
